Baked By Anita

Baked By Anita’s cupcakes, small but definitely a bestseller!

I was roaming around Mercato Centrale when I saw Baked By Anita’s cute cupcakes. I’ve had so much to eat already but when I’ve tasted a small portion of their Sticky Date cupcake, I just know that my stomach won’t mind eating a box of these oh-so yummy cakes.

The unique flavors and the seemingly-odd-but-surprisingly-good combinations of Anita create an attraction that is so appealing and refreshing at the same time. Fruity flavors like Mango Tamarind, Pink Coconut, Orange n’ Cranberries, Roasted Banana, Sticky Date, Caramel Apple and Passion Fruit Pucker are just a few. Unique flavors include Saffron & Black Salt, Bacon & Maple and Black Sesame. Aside from that, BBA also offers all-time favorites like Red Velvet, Saffron & Black Salt, Cookies n’ Cream, Peanut Butter Truffle and Choco-Chip.

There’s only a teeny-weeny bit of a problem. BBA’s cupcakes are small, only around two inches in height and roughly around an inch and a half in diameter, for PHP 35.00 apiece. Although the cupcakes are small (and pricey), Baked By Anita’s cupcakes are reallysuperb that I’m putting them on top of my list!

Sticky Date. Chewy Date & Walnut Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream and Himalayan Pink Salt. Of the 5 cupcakes I’ve tried, the Sticky Date is my ultimate favorite. Soft cake with crunchy bits and there’s a chopped chewy date inside.

Saffrom and Black Salt. Saffron and Cardamom Cupcake with Black Salt and Saffron Sugar. This is my second favorite of all, soft, moist and the most saffron-y dessert I’ve had. Just look at the saffron on top and that bright yellowish color that only saffron can produce.

High praises for good cupcakes made by Baked By Anita. Seriously, I can’t get enough of their cupcakes. It’s addictingly delicious! Now I’m thinking of going back to Mercato Centrale this weekend just to buy a box of Baked By Anita goodies.
