Sebastian's Happy Hour Dark Beer Sorbet

Once again, it’s Oktoberfest. Promos are sprouting at every bar and grilles, sales and promo packs in every liquor store and German beers served at parties. All the alcoholics out there are celebrating the beer month, partying and toasting to the happiest event of the year!

But what about the non-drinkers or the people who resent beers? Well, here’s to you: Sebastian’s Happy Hour Dark Beer Sorbet.

Sebastian’s Ice Cream is famous for unique flavors like Cookie Dough, Macadamia White, Butter Pecan and Mango Sansrival. But just in time for the Oktoberfest, they’re offering a limited Dark Beer Sorbet.

Happy Hour is made with Cerveza Negra, a dark lager with a distinct dark color and has a sweet roasted finish, and garnished with honey-roasted peanuts.

I’ve had beer ice cream before but Sebastian’s Happy Hour is exceptional. The sorbet still carries the bitterness of the Cerveza Negra by half which is a plus and it plays well with the sweetness of an ice cream. The experience just keeps getting better when you’ve had a bite of the whole peanuts in it. Since the sorbet is made of beer, it’s supposed to melt easily but it took longer to melt than what I’ve anticipated. Definitely my happy hour!

So to people who resent beers, this is just the thing for you to experience Oktoberfest: a beer ice cream. Not too bitter on the taste and no intoxication.

Available in pint priced at P280.00 or get a scoop at Sebastian’s Ice Cream outlets at Alabang Town Center, Podium Mall, The Block SM North EDSA, Trinoma Mall and SM Mall of Asia.

Check Sebastian's Facebook page for more updates.
